In 2012 and 2013, I traveled to Guatemala with students and faculty from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for a program called DO CARE. Each year, KCUMB does over 2800 medical screenings in rural communities that have little access to adequate health care. I documented this mission through a blog that I wrote during the trips, and photo galleries created afterwards. How do two photographers, with unique backgrounds and skills, interpret and execute the same assignment? Every week for one year, my friend Dina and I took turns coming up with a theme for that week's photography. At the end of the week, we would post our best images, and you get to see how how our approaches, and our final images, differ from each other.
